Born and raised in Seattle, Dean Lewis has spent over 10 years practicing as a structural engineer in both the Pacific Northwest and California. In his tenure, Dean has specialized in many different types of prefabrication and modular construction, helping introduce various types of mass timber projects to the San Francisco area in recent years. These include some of the first CLT installations, the first multi-story glulam post and beam with CLT floor project, and the first multi-story MPP project in the country. Recently, Dean moved back to his hometown of Seattle looking to further advance his expertise and help bring more mass timber projects to the Northwest region with the Swinerton Mass Timber team.
