Langley Events Centre

The 322,312 square foot facility features an arena bowl, a triple & double gymnasium, a banquet hall, fieldhouse, fitness and community centre, gymnastic training facilities, and meeting rooms. Glulam timbers were chosen to accent the exterior of the project, as well as to express the full structural capabilities of wood. This project was created exclusively out of materials native to BC, showing off the natural beauty of wood as a building material. Fir was chosen as a ceiling finish for its beauty and acoustic properties. The roof also helps to reflect and redirect heat to allow the building to have as little impact as possible on the surrounding environment.
