Toronto Montessori School

Richmond Hill, ON

Capturing the natural elements of wood and the architectural interplay of light and space, architect firm Farrow Partners designed an elegant and welcoming new entrance, atrium lobby and office area at Toronto Montessori School, forming and shaping the wood to offer a fresh face to the facility. The design utilizes glued laminated Douglas Fir timber. The interesting shadows cast by the triangular framing around the windows combine with the tree-like wooden structural elements to invoke curiosity and creativity.
