The Roux Institute and Alfond Learning Center
Portland, MENortheastern University is transforming the former B&M Baked Bean factory and site into a leading institution pursuing innovation and research in artificial intelligence, data science, engineering and life sciences.
The 245,000-square-foot academic hub is eight-stories above grade with a 109,000-square-foot lower level that houses mechanical systems, core areas and parking for 310 cars. The building features a 2-story mass timber wing that supports a greenroof and is designed on a radial grid.
