Outpost

Hood River, OR

Outpost is made up of two buildings designed by the architect to share outdoor common bridging walkways, lifts, and informal lounge spaces in downtown Hood River, Oregon. Together, they hold restaurants, maker space, and offices. Another innovative aspect is the use of non-treated wood framing with mineral wool insulation in the exterior wall construction instead of fire retardant treated wood framing required in Type III construction.
