Blackfeet Arbor

Browning, MT

In the heart of Browning, Montana, lies the cherished community of the Blackfeet Tribe, a place steeped in history and tradition. In July of 2023, anticipation and excitement filled the air as the tribe embarked on a remarkable endeavor – constructing a brand-new community building to debut during the North American Indian Days.

A unique architectural masterpiece took shape to bring this vision to life - a circular building that paid homage to the tribe's deep-rooted heritage. Central to its design was a breathtaking glass ceiling, preserving the connection to natural light. The engineered wood products were specified specifically for this project.

What also sets this building apart is the truss designs. With a staggering 16 bays, each housing approximately 30 open-web trusses, the structure is a testament to the design team. Every truss boasts a unique length and load design, showcasing the meticulous planning and craftsmanship that went into crafting this architectural gem.
