Aura
Snowmass Village, CO
Aura is an exclusive collection of twenty-one ski-in/ski-out residences in the new Snowmass Base Village. Flanked by the vast playground of Snowmass Resort, these luxury condominiums deliver privacy as well as a profound connection to nature and all the activities the mountain has to offer.
Aura’s cross-laminated timber structure is being left largely exposed on the interior to create a strong biophilic design expression and a uniquely modern take on traditional alpine architecture. Mass timber was chosen in part to help mitigate the effects of new development on climate change, and because it aligns with principles of sustainable design. The ultra-efficient, all-electric homes also use 100% renewable energy sources, resulting in zero ongoing carbon emissions from the building itself.
“Aura is a truly special project on our most exclusive site in Snowmass,” said developer Andy Gunion. “A mass timber structure turned out to be the perfect fit for the direction we wanted to take on the aesthetics of the project. We’re thrilled with how the design turned out and how the market is receiving it. The Woodworks team provided the inspirational spark and helpful support along the way to make it happen.” Six of the twenty-one ultra-luxury residences sold in just the first six weeks of sales.
