Franklin Road Academy Upper School
Nashville, TN
Franklin Road Academy’s strategic plan involves developing facilities and prioritizing
innovative spaces for their students and faculty while remaining focused on the safety
and security of their campus community. The proposed Upper School Building is a facility
that will refl ect the quality of the work being done inside and is intended to provide a
collaborative educational facility to enhance the education of the Academy’s 9-12 grade
students enrolled at the school. The scope of the proposed schematic design includes the
creation of a new two-level Upper School facility with new exterior connectors between the
proposed building and existing Middle School, as well as the Math & Sciences Building.
The building program includes new classrooms for English and History, as well as a new
Panther Den, collaborative classroom, and a featured presentation classroom. In addition
to the new building scope, the work includes the construction of a new Campus Center
Quad including site engineering, reworked sidewalks, and stairs to accommodate the new
construction, and new landscaping to accommodate and accentuate the new construction.
