Mike is the WoodWorks Regional Director for Southern California, Arizona, and New Mexico. He works directly with developers and design teams, providing education and free technical support related to the design, engineering and construction of commercial and multi-family wood buildings. A California-licensed Structural Engineer, he has knowledge to assist with all aspects of wood building design, including allowable heights and areas and construction types, structural detailing of wood and hybrid systems, fire resistance, acoustics, and alternate means of code compliance.

Mike has 37 years of structural engineering design, plan check/peer review, and investigative experience. He has been involved in the production of engineering calculations and construction documents, construction administration, field investigations and report writing for educational, commercial, industrial, medical, institutional, residential, and military projects utilizing all types of building materials.
