Rockport Music, Shalin Liu Performance Center

Rockport Music had a dream to build their own performance center built to their exacting acoustical standards, after many years of renting facilities that did not fit their needs. The Shalin Liu Performance Center achieves this goal and more: in addition to a 330-seat concert hall, the Center includes a full-service catering kitchen, reception hall and a striking design highlighted by an expansive glass curtain wall façade.

Consigli’s in-house team of carpenters installed many of the building’s intricate details and finishes, including the custom timber framing, to assure and control the highest level of construction quality for this exquisite theater. The performance spaces provide state-of-the-art acoustics and advanced lighting and sound systems. With the site in a premier oceanfront location, all work needed to be precisely coordinated to minimize the impact on occupied adjacent buildings, as well as the residents and visitors of the Town of Rockport.
