Bousquet Lodge

Pittsfield, MA

Bousquet Ski Area is one of the oldest in The Berkshires, initially open for operations in 1932. The original lodge was built in 1941 and stood until 2021 when it was taken down so new construction could start. The new ownership wanted to improve the property by designing a contemporary mountain lodge to serve the customers better.

The original lodge was demolished and replaced with a larger modern lodge. Engineered Wood Products (Open-Web Trusses, I-Joists, and plated trusses) were used alongside a steel frame to create the new design. The surrounding landscape influenced the building and had an indoor/outdoor concept utilizing large windows.

RedBuilt worked alongside Allegrone Companies to design a structurally sound and aesthetically pleasing system that upgraded this historic lodge.
