2005 Poplar Way
Issaquah, WAWith excellent visibility from the nearby interstate highway, the building is a recognizable gateway to the city. Dramatic cantilevers with 9-foot CLT overhangs at the roof crown the structure, and a code-alternate variance allowed installation of a CLT roof diaphragm.
The focal piece is the “irresistible stair” at the entrance. Encased in a glass atrium, the lighted stairway features CLT landings and a CLT feature wall, giving it additional warmth and prominence, especially at night.
