Tom S. Chung FAIA LEED BD+C is a Principal and Design Leader with Leers Weinzapfel Associates Architects, specializing in Mass Timber Design. His works include the Olver Design Building at UMass Amherst, among the most innovative cross laminated timber buildings in the US and Adohi Hall at University of Arkansas, a 700 bed, 200,000sf student housing complex which is the largest CLT building in the US upon completion in 2019. Tom sees tremendous value in the sustainable, transformative and experiential qualities of mass timber and speaks throughout the country at conferences and workshops sharing his experience. Tom also teaches design studios at universities, focusing on mass timber and sustainable design.
