Rocklyn Homes Office
Suwanee, GA
The decision to convert the Rocklyn Homes office building project to engineered wood products, specifically open-web trusses, was made due to budget and lead time constraints. Since steel was not feasible in terms of cost and timing, they opted for engineered wood as an alternative.
The chosen open-web trusses not only fulfilled the functional requirements of the project but also offered aesthetic advantages. The natural look of the wood brought a warm and inviting atmosphere to the office space. By using exposed trusses, Rocklyn Homes created a visually appealing design element that added character and charm to the building. They also provide an opportunity for Rocklyn Homes to entertain their clients in a unique and memorable setting. The natural beauty of the wood, combined with the architectural interest of the trusses, can create an engaging and enjoyable environment for client meetings, presentations, or other gatherings.
By opting for engineered wood products and incorporating open-web trusses, Rocklyn Homes successfully achieved their goals of meeting budget constraints, adhering to lead times, and creating an office space that exudes a natural and inviting ambiance.
