Micron Team Member Center

Manassas, VA

As part of Micron's expansion of Manassas Virginia plant, this project becomes the "front door" of the cmapus by providing security checkpoint, executive meeting spaces, a dining hall, fitness, and respite for this 24/7 manufacturing facilty.

The mass timber coffer ceiling - constructed out of glulam post and beams, and 3-ply CLT panels - is a key design feature expressed as a unifying element that begins on the exterior and continues inwards. Not only does it provide the structure necessary to span the vast 27 ft tall ceilings in the dining and townhall space, it also lends warmth as respite from the manufacturing spaces inhabited the employees during their shifts.

Sustainability is an important focus for this project which is pursuing LEED and WELL at the Gold Level.
