Howard Commons Pavilion

Green Bay, WI

Howard Commons masterfully integrates a diverse range of amenities within a compact site, creating a vibrant gathering space for the Village of Howard near Green Bay. Designed to bring people together year-round, the project features a 6,750-square-foot activity center, a 16,372-square-foot pavilion, and a 2,600-square-foot open-air amphitheater. Additional attractions include a multi-season skating rink for roller and ice skating, a beer garden, and a children’s splash pond, making the park a true community hub.

A standout feature of the project is the expansive open-air ice rink, which required careful structural planning to achieve its large spans. Douglas fir glulam beams played a crucial role in this design, providing both strength and architectural beauty while allowing for the impressive scale of the pavilion.

Howard Commons has transformed a three-acre site into a year-round destination for concerts, festivals, markets, and outdoor recreation.
