Ashland Middle School and John Muir Outdoor School
Ashland, ORThe extensive renovation and new construction for Ashland Middle School includes seismic upgrades, mechanical system and indoor air quality improvements, new classrooms, career technical spaces, a site-based special programs wing, and administration and office areas. The project also repurposes the original gym into a multi-use media center/library and maker spaces. Additionally, the work will create a new home for Ashland School District’s magnet K-8 program, John Muir Outdoor School, which was previously located inside the original Ashland Middle School. Separating and renovating a classroom wing of the middle school will provide the magnet school with a distinct identity and autonomy.
