411 Railway Street
Vancouver, BC
Located in the Railtown neighborhood of Vancouver, 411 Railway Street is a 6-storey mixed-used building hosting a combination of restaurant, retail, and office spaces.
The community-friendly design of the building promotes a vibrant and lively atmosphere providing tenants with multiple entrances for their convenience while encouraging them to interact through the central atrium. The building features an attractive combination of wood and concrete with a modern look aiming to embrace the evolving nature of the neighborhood and adopt the proactive growth of the community.
Offsite prefabrication, transport, and installation of 5 Glulam (mass timber) bridges spanning an Atrium and connecting the two brand-new office buildings across 5 levels. This challenging project included all aspects of the bridges from design coordination to installation on site, with all the bridges pre-assembled in Seagate’s facility in Pitt Meadows.
Innovative building techniques were developed and applied during the project construction phase to achieve high efficiency and accommodate the unique design and characteristics of this project.
