First United Bank Regional Headquarters

Following First United Bank's goal to develop a unique structure that didn’t look like any other bank, and to express the honest, community-based values of their organization, Gensler’s design team introduced the client to Mass Timber. The Sherman, Texas facility uses regional materials like Southern Texas Pine to create a modern hill country aesthetic that has a deeply rooted simple form. Inviting and warm, this branch is meant to have a positive impact on the community, with a design that opens up the doors with community rooms that can be used for public events, even outside of regular banking hours.
