Chancellor's Gymnasium at Simon Fraser University
Burnaby, BCThe upgrade to the existing facility increased the size of the main gymnasium and fitness centre, adding additional studio space for activities such as karate, yoga, and dance. The new facility is 10 times more spacious than the existing one.
The upgraded facility has a large gymnasium, two multiuse rooms, and a two-level fitness centre. Glulam was used in tandem with steel to maintain sightlines through the use of trusses with curved bottom chords.
