Toronto and Region Conservation Authority Administration Building (TRCA)
Toronto, ON
The TRCA is designed to meet several green standards and is intended to be one of the most energy-efficient office buildings in North America. It includes an innovative, energy-efficient, four-story administrative office constructed of mass timber .
It is a fully-wood building, including exit stairs and an elevator shaft and cladding, that will have many interesting features such as four solar chimneys and an integrated geo-exchange heat pump and solar thermal panel system.
This new facility utilizing raised access floor, underfloor air distribution and modular power will reduce operating costs, while helping TRCA deliver the best possible customer service and support. Additionally, it will serve as an example of best practices in green building.
