HAPO Credit Union

Vancouver, WA

The HAPO Community Credit Union was a Design-Build project which focused on sustainability and human wellness, pursuing the International WELL Building Institute certification. The tall windows allow ample natural daylight to the offices while the clerestory glazing illuminates the main floor. The roof structure utilizes mass timber, with glulam and CLT panels being left exposed to create a warm, inviting atmosphere.

This was the first credit union facility in the world to pursue the WELL certification, which was one of the reasons the design team was awarded a DBIA National Merit Award.
