Little Sand Bay Visitor Center
Bayfield, WI
The 1,650 square foot Little Sand Bay Visitor Center at Apostle Islands National Lakeshore lightly touches the National Park's ecosystem and responds to the architectural vocabulary of its surrounding historic properties. Designed to enhance the park experience, the visitor center includes a public lobby, information desk, sales area, offices, conference and break room for park staff.
Outside, covered educational and interpretive displays are provided, and a permanent canopy and cradle was designed to protect the historic Twilite fishing tug.
