Terminus at District 56

Victoria, BC

Located in the heart of downtown Langford — locally referred to as District 56 — the Terminus building offers a five-story mass timber commercial building. The Terminus building uses a unique lateral system with an exposed post-and-beam containing the first ever steel Buckling Restrained Braces housed within a timber frame as Langford, BC is one of the highest seismic regions of North America.

The project features glulam beams, CLT slabs and glulam columns. Using the fully integrated flooring solution the building infrastucture is hidden under a raised access floor leaving the mass timber beautifully exposed.
