Sunnydale Community Center
San Francisco, CAThe Sunnydale Community Center in San Francisco will serve residents of Sunnydale, the city’s largest public housing site, as well as residents of all ages in the surrounding Visitacion Valley neighborhood. The Community Center is a key part of the resident-centered Sunnydale HOPE SF transformation plan currently being completed by Mercy Housing California and Related California.
This all-mass-timber community center will include a teaching kitchen, study space with community broadband, a recording studio, spaces for a full slate of social events, workshops, and classes, and a living room for neighbors to meet and connect. In addition, the center will include new facilities for Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco and Wu Yee Children’s Services, greatly expanding the capacity of both of these organizations to provide top-tier childcare and programming for youth in the neighborhood.
