Silver Bay YMCA, Silver Bay William Boyd Center

Silver Bay, NY

Silver Bay YMCA demolished their existing dining hall and replaced it with a new two-story structure that serves as a year-round lodging, dining and conference facility. The center was constructed adjacent to the historic 1898 “Inn” building. The first floor of the addition contains a lobby, commercial kitchen, dining room, and meeting spaces, as well as administrative, mechanical and storage spaces. The second floor contains 22 guest rooms.

The new facility’s exterior incorporates features of traditional Adirondack architecture to complement the adjacent historic Inn building. The two buildings are connected at the first floor to allow operational and guest circulation between the original structure and the new kitchen and dining facilities.
