Amy has been with Silman since 2013 and has worked on all types of buildings with an emphasis on adaptive reuse and new construction with an emphasis on sustainability.  She is working on a range of mass timber projects that range from private single familty residential to higher education institutional work.  She is currently leading the structural design for a new student center and dining hall building at Amherst College.  The project consists of three-story mass timber addition to an existing concrete structure.  This project explores the exciting typology of mass timber and adaptive reuse and the details between existing and new structure are a key architectural and structural feature for the building.
