DLR Group is a 100% employee owned integrated design firm. Their mission is to elevate the human experience through design. Since 2015, DLR Group has been pioneering the modern application of mass timber with Hines, delivering their first T3 (timber, transit, technology) building in Minneapolis, MN. They now have over one million square feet of timber office building completed or in construction, with another million in design. Continuing to push boundaries, other significant DLR Group timber design projects include Sharples Dining Hall at Swarthmore College - targeting net zero energy - and a timber hotel prototype developed with grant support from the U.S. Forest Service in partnership with the University of Minnesota. They approach every mass timber project with a unique merging of proven technical expertise and creative design acumen, teasing the highest benefit out of this ecologically-conscious building system.
